Painter

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform rubbing/sanding to prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring a smooth and clean base.
• Clean and mask off areas to avoid paint spillage and contamination.
• Apply water-borne paints using appropriate tools such as spray guns, rollers, or brushes.
• Ensure uniform coverage and proper finishing as per project specifications.
• Mix paints accurately according to color specifications, using proper ratios and techniques.
• Understand and adjust paint viscosity based on environmental and application conditions.
• Maintain records of paint and consumable material usage.
• Track stock levels and coordinate with the store or supervisor for timely replenishment.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of Water-Borne Paints: Understanding properties, application methods, drying times, and safety precautions.
• Paint Mixing Techniques: Ability to create accurate shades and textures using color codes and mixing formulas.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in application and surface finish.
• Inventory Management: Basic skills in tracking materials and reporting usage.
• Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods, bending, and handling painting equipment.
• Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work with other technicians, supervisors, and departments.
